Grinding noise when in Auto 4 wheel drive

Asked by Dawn Mar 01, 2020 at 05:33 PM about the 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE1 Extended Cab 5.8 ft. 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When it put the truck in Auto 4x4 this makes a bad grinding noise.  However if I
put it in 4 High there is no noise.  Help!
