I have a 1989 gmc s-15 with a 4.3 liter. Truck runs alright but is kind of sluggish on take off. Also when jumping on freeway i step on gas and it takes it a while to pick up speed. Revolutions go up

filter , injectors and it seems to be the

Have you checked the braking system? Could be the emergency brake is hanging up. After your next drive, try sprinkling water on the rotors and or rear drums. See if you get steam or rapid evaporation.

How about a compression test? Are you experiencing any oil consumption?

Could the problem be the exhaust is plugged? Is the CEL on? I'm running out of idea's.
