97 subaru outback legacy wagon 2.5L I put new water pump, it overheats, I put
in new thermostat, still over heats, I feel the heater core hoses bottom hose hot,
top hose cold. Plz help.

Try purging air out of the cooling system. Youtube has videos.

Tried that. Also flushed heater core. Still over heats. Heater core hose on passenger side hot, driver side cold while engine is overheated. Will flush engine block next? Right?

By chance do you have a part number for the water pump you ordered? Mine needs replaced, going to do the timing belt as well. Bc that's what's needed.
