Trade in

That would depend on miles, condition and options but I am guessing most dealers are going to give you pocket change for a 12 year old econo-box.
Is it worth trading it in for a car a few years new or just buy the new car without the trade in?
I would sell the car myself but not everyone wants to go to that much work. You will have to decide if you want a new car or just a newer used car. That would depend on your finances and how much you drive.
Okay yeah I wanted to get a used Camry. I usually drive to work . Thank you so much for helping
I buy new cars and then keep them for 10+ years. The advantage to me is I know the history of the car and I drive it long enough to get all the value out of it.
Do a calculation of how many miles you drive each year, how long the term of the loan is and add the miles you drive to the miles on the car. If that number is really high you should buy a lower mile car. For example - You drive 15,000 miles a year and have a 5 year loan = 75,000 miles. If the car already has 80,000 miles on it the car will have 155,000 on it when the loan is paid off. In this case I would look for a car with less than 50,000 miles on it.
