Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Jaguar X-type is blowing very cold air on the passenger side (40 deg F) but cool or lukewarm air on the drivers side.  Thought it might be the CCM (climate control module) so I replaced it with one from a 2008 X type but I still have the problem.  The car does not have dual climate control so not the heater valve.  A mechanic said he would not recommend adding more refrigerant as the compressor is putting out very cold air.  Can you help me out?
