Had battery charged just morning and already dead tonight.

generally speaking, batteries last about 4 years. All depends on how hard you use them how you use your car, etc. There is no information whatsoever if you bought the right battery for the car. This is THE biggest mistake most people do when buying batteries. Sure the clerk sounds smart, but really they just want to sale you a battery that makes sense even though it is or might not be the right battery. Putting water into a battery after checking the fluid is bad. Water will kill a battery, eats it up. use distilled water to fill up battery cells, if need. make sure you have the proper CCA for the car, I'd say about 650 CCA. in colder areas, use a a higher CCA battery. I like Deka or Interstate. Do some research, and get the right battery. make sure your alternator is doing it's job too. if you recharge a battery and the alternator wont do it's job, it's bad news. Check the alternator at the parts store too while you test the battery, it doesn't hurt. There are PLENTY of new parts all over cars at the junk yard. Junk yards even sell batteries, on occasion. do you homework first. good luck
