rear light issues

Asked by gidget74 Jan 23, 2017 at 05:00 PM about the 2002 Land Rover Freelander 4 Dr SE AWD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We aquired a 2002 landrover freelander for our
teenagers first car. Everything worked great. Just
recently we noticed that not all of the tail lights
would like when she turned on her lights for night
driving but her break lights would work. But now
none of them light up at all except every once in
awhile the upper left tail light will lightup. Ive
checked and replaced some of the bulbs and
nothing. I have also checked fuses in glovebox
and under the hood that pertain to lights and they
are all good. Any ideas?

Try moving the bulbs around in the sockets to get them to work. Follow the wiring from the bulb socket back to a plugin, disconnect and plug back together, may be just a bad connection. Having a test light is handy for checking things out. It may be the bulb sockets themselves may need replacing.
