Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i bought a '96 hse which has had the coil conversion on the suspension, i found the cruise control doesn't work and was wondering if this is to do with the eas being locked in one position?

Theres is a button on the dash that you have to turn on first. Looks like an interstate with a bridge going over it. Push that button and the light should come on, then, you should be able to activate the cruise control system.

Thanks for the reply but I am aware of how to turn it on and work it but the speed cannot be set or resumed. Hence why I thought it could be caused by the eas being stuck in manual due to the suspension conversion?

Get the same problem with my 1998 P38. Try checking the vacuum hoses, get good quality high pressure vacuum hose as the normal cheap stuff gets sucked in as there is a strong vacuum operating the system The normal fault is a split end or cracked hose therefore you're not getting enough vacuum to operate the throttle. This has nothing to do with the EAS
