Land rover range rover 2001 shuts off while driving, will not turn back on for a while, I changed the fuel pump and same thing happens??

First off I am no expert on the later RR engines, but generally the camshaft sensor normally controls injector timing for sequential injection, crankshaft sensor is commonly used to measure engine speed for fuel metering and crankshaft position for ignition timing.

I'm pretty sure if one of those sensors go out then the engine will cease to run. Its a protection from the PCM to make sure the engine doesnt blow up

Thanks I was planning on changing the cam shaft sensor first, hopefully that's the problem, an if it's not that, I'm going to replace the crankshaft sensor, I also heard it could be the ignition coil??? Any thoughts or ideas on that?? Thanks again for the help.

I have a 95 land rover discovery and the wiring harness and fuel pump have been replaced but my truck shuts off. It's shut off while driving but mostly it shuts off when it sits. I've had 6 people work on my truck and it's diong the same thing. After 1-2 weeks the truck goes back to doing the same thing. I don't know what to do now. I'm spending alot of money on this and I'm at a lose
