2006 range rover hse shuts off while driving

2 Answers

I'm driving my 2006 hse and seatbelt light comes on and the airbag light also, soon after the transmission starts to down shift and I'm first gear it shitts down. I pull over it restarts and it's fine. Today driving it shut off 4 times. Help any answers will help.

Try and check the intake hose connection AFTER the mass airflow sensor. A 2006 Range Rover came into our shop 1 week ago. It had the same issues you have and had been to 5 other shops including a Range Rover dealer. The intake tube will appear to be connected correctly but if you wiggle the air filter housing you will see that 1 off the 2 clamps can be loose. This is what we found on this Range Rover. What made this soo hard to diagnose was this was an intermittent problem.
