How long did the vehicle run after replacing the battery? It's possible that the alternator is shot and not charging the battery. You can have the alternator tested at your auto parts store.

after i charged the battery i cranked right up and ran for about a 20 mile trip. i went to the grocery store approx 10 miles away and on my way back home the radio went of then acceleration stopped. i pulled over and tightned the battery and it cranked but then fell dead again?

It sounds like your alternator is the problem. If the battery is not charging, the electrical system will use the battery until it's dead.

I had the same problem. After spending a couple of thousands on it, they found that it was a cable grounded into the body. Unfortunately, i don't remember the cable it was. Had the dealership done its due diligence, it would saved me a lot of time, money, and effort. Good luck.
