Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2007 kia sedona will not start sometimes, battery
and everything else is good, just sometimes it
won't crack ,or nothing sometimes when I put key
in door and unlock the door it works,  maybe it's
the alarm system idk, my mechanic said it's starter.
After reading these comments many people
replace starter but still have issue.

Relay starting to go bad. Test starter and fuel relay for control and resistance. Also any similarities when it doesn’t start? Certain weather? Time of day? Moisture in air? Temperature?

Ok that makes me think parasitic drain. See if you have this issue. YouTube it and do the test. It is easy. You need a voltmeter

Have you tested for parasitic drain? Do you have a drain higher than 50 miliamps?

KIA Sedona LX 2009 280K - did full tuneup, replaced battery and replaced boot cable but still needs many cranks and pumping the gas before it starts; condition worst if it sits overnight or over two to three days.

MoeHop20 Did you ever figure out that issue. im having the same exact issue with my 2012 kia sedona, and ive broken it down to the fuse box and the starter relay, i can get it to start every day, but it gets harder and harder, and takes longer and longer
