radiator fan connector

Asked by amkarp Aug 20, 2019 at 04:02 PM about the 2007 Kia Rondo LX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A few weeks ago the  car overheated - smoke (but no fire seen).
My service guy told me the radiator fan connector melted, the fan stopped
working.  (he doesn't know which happened first.)
He replaced the fan but couldn't find a Rondo connector for the fan.
He couldn't find one in the junk yard either.  So he rigged something together
but was very hesitant to have me drive the car.
I drive the car locally.  But he's got me nervous.

Question:  what is this connector?  Can't we find some replacement part and
get this done?
Thanks.

Why not wire it straight, no connector? The cooling fan has pig-tail, doesn't it? Of course, I can't see anything from here? Be safe.
