Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2007 Jeep Patriot is running higher in RPMs than normal. Going 65 mph I was averaging 2100 or so. Now it is averaging 2500+. I also think that it is idling at a high rpm, but I cannot remember what it usually idles at. Right now the only significant issue is that it is burning through gas. Going 63 miles cost me about a fourth of a tank with an average speed of 65, if that.
