Fan only runs on high.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The air won't kick on until after the car has been
started for a minute and the air conditioning
system only runs on high.
Does anyone else think that this could be the
blower switch? Are they simple to repair? Any
other suggestions as to what it could be. Any
knowledge is greatly appreciated, thank you.

In my part of the country it is normal for the blower to be on high for a long time before slowing down. That Mercury of yours contains a significant amount of hot air to expel before you begin to feel cool. Remember, all of the interior parts act like little heaters and contribute to keeping the interior temps high. The AC system has to get them cooled down as well. I would wait until fall to check this out unless it is significantly annoying you.
