That is the stock tire size but you can probably go one or two sizes bigger as long as all 4 are the same size.
Hummer H3 Base and Luxury package recommend 265 75 16. If you had the Adventure package or the Luxury package with the off-road option they came with 285 75 16. Those that came with the 285 75 16 tires had wheels with an offset of 39 mm. Otherwise the wheels had a 30 mm offset.
