Rough idle and Engine shut off when engine is hot

I bought it at 151,000 miles and now has 159,000. I
flushed all the fluids and replaced the filters. Spark
plugs are all new as well as the valve seals and
valve cover seal. I have no problem starting the
when it has not been ran for awhile. But if I go to
the store and shut the car off and go to start it back
up it has a really rough idle and stalls out. What
could be the problem? I was told lash adjustment or
bad coil packs but I wanted to be sure before
tearing motor apart

scan for codes and trouble shoot the problem before you tear the motor down because of a simple (hopefully ) fix
