dump some fine granulated sand into the tank, (2 or 3 lbs) then add 2 gallons of water and bind the tank to a paint shaker. Switch on and run for 3-5 minutes. then check results. Repeat prosess until no rust is visable. If you dont have a paint shaker, mount the tank onto a pipe very solidly and balanced, then straddle pipe onto (2) 4x8s Much like a teeter totter, the higher the better, cuz your going to lift one end up and down with sand and water in rhe tank till its shiney and clean inside. then dey it out well and buy yourself some tank liner product. sold in motor cycle shops. its liquid and pores into your tank. Again you need to move it arround to coat the inside of the tank compleely. then allow it to dry.
