Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I drive an 07 RR-Sport HSE with A.C.E. system.
Since I had it, I clearly hear a high pitch noise once the engine accelerates.
Took it to dealership(s) multiple times and their answer was "it is normal".
I don't think it is normal for such a vehicle to have such noise knowing it's an 8 Cylinder SUV with plenty of horse power, but sounds like a broken water or steering pump.

There seems to be a small number of people experiencing this noise. I have seen other HSE (same yr and model) with an A.C.E. system, but without such noise.

I find it odd to consider this noise normal. Could it be a pulley tensioner, or a bad bearing, or pump about to go bad and dealership wouldn't touch it until it breaks?

I have seen posts/forums talking about refurbishing the A.C.E. pump to resolve the issue (U.K. based posts). and Here in the U.S. no one have yet resolved this issue.

Thank you for your answer. Would you know how many pulley tensioners and idlers exist on an HSE type engine? is it 3 or more?

You have two idler,s,one a rider and the other a tentioner, but your water pump is there all so,it runs on your timing belt.
