Rear wiper motor

Asked by warbirds Jan 07, 2014 at 09:04 PM about the 2008 Jeep Patriot Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear wiper turns on with the use of the steering wheel switch, but it does not delay,
like it is suppose to, it just stops until you turn the switch on and off manually. Do I need
to replace the wiper motor completely, or is there a relay I have to replace.

The gear has probably stripped on the motor. Did you happen to turn them on with it frozen to the glass and it jumped when it broke loose?

That's a good question since the wiper never worked very well unless the window was wet.

I managed to destroy the rod of the rear screen wiper motor for toyota alphard 2003v 2.4 front drive Is it worth to recondition / change that driving rod to which the wiper arm is fixed or just to get a second hand wiper motor Where can I get the second hang wiper motor Many thanks for any help jakotaki
