New to Acura- Opinions on purchasing 97 3.5rl w/244K

Asked by acuranewbie Feb 27, 2011 at 08:27 PM about the 1997 Acura RL 3.5 FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

The car seems to have been well maintained. I will verify service with the dealer. Carfax shows maintence every 3-5k. Car rides smooth, no noises. Would anyone have a problem purchasing this car with these miles?
I appreciate the input.

No problems at all. As long as the Maintanence was on the aforementioned schedule. I purchased a 2003 RL with 111,000 mi. and traded a 99 cougar with no problems. I bought the Cougar new with 10 miles on it and traded 10 yrs. later with only 56,000 miles. I love my RL and wouldn't give it up for nothing. If the RL was well maintained I would go for it depending on the price. Make sure the timing belt was replaced and if not it needs to be done. Should be done at about 90,000-105,000 mi. intervals.
