Transmission

Asked by Shemar24 Jun 21, 2017 at 10:04 PM about the 2007 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 Base 128k miles it's a
automatic. I believe I'm having transmission problems.
When I start the car and go to put it in reverse or drive
there is a loud knock noise and a jurk either forward or
back. This only happens when I've been driving around a
bit but if the car is sitting for a few hrs and I go to put it in
Drive or Reverse it doesn't always knock or jerk. Also
once I get driving and the car is about to shift gears
sometimes it jerks me forword a bit it just doesn't feel
natural it also feels like it stays in 1st gear to long. I don't
know much about cars so just wanted some advice from
some guys that do, thanks.

it sounds like you may have a transmission problem. Take it into your local mechanic, it is better to evaluate the problem before it gets worse.

Check all your fuses in all 3 fuse box’s ( in the hood/right passenger side under radio/right side trunk ) My Transmission would pop and jerk until I replaced its fuses
