Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My buddy has a pontiac g6 and it doesnt charge
checked the battery and alternator at a Oriellys and
they are good. I have continuity from battery to the
positive on the alternator. And it has a good ground
as well. Any ideas.

I have the same problem. Took off the alternator and it checked out. Put in a new battery. Some days it runs ok, some days all the lights come on one by one and it will die. I haven’t checked from Batt to Alt for continuity yet, but it was suggest I may have a bad BCM. Bottom line: my alternator is getting the signal to barge the battery. Good luck

Yeah we ended up putting on a bcm and then the dealer couldn't figure out how to flash the bcm that said the battery was dead and that's why it would start and not charge. I don't know what they were doing he ended up scraping the car. But thanks for the help
