Flashing engine light

Asked by Kyle Jul 11, 2020 at 11:34 AM about the 2008 Dodge Avenger SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 avenger. The engine light was flashing and it
wouldn't turn over so I replaced the ignition coils. It started
right up but only ran for about 5 minutes. Now the engine
light is flashing again. What else could be wrong?

Since the light is flashing that would in most cases indicate a misfire. Did you change the spark plugs? I would scan for the OBDii trouble codes first to determine what the actual issue is before you spend any more money.
