I would check the CPS and see if it needs replaced. Its a pretty simply job, do you have any problems starting the car? Does it idle roughly?
What's CPS? I did have problems starting replaced battery and changed alternator, and yes I do have rough or high idles when I first start the car in the am
CPS: Crankshaft Position Sensor...Got it...So what are the functions or the ETC sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, Vehicle Speed Sensor and the CPS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiQ4W-fhy4g This video shows the ETC on a dodge vehicle. It is for Throttle Control. When the CPS goes out the ETC light illuminates to tell you that the car isn't idling properly. They call them "dummy lights" for a reason, have you had the codes pulled for the car?
My etc n esc lights came on n my car was idling slow. When I got home n check everything out I notice tht the car didn't have any oil so I put some oil n it waited a while n drove it around the block n car is riding as normal... My ? Is could the car not having no oil make the happen
I have a 2008 V6 Dodge Avenger My Abs light and battery light came on then it shut off at a red light I had friend jump start it ran a little till I got to my job shut it off ....Then I came back had jump start but the car wouldn't start at all no lights, signal light nothing I'm thinking I need a new battery but I just brought this battery last year.
Have you reported this issue to Dodge and the NHTSA? Please reach out to them. About the light being intermittent and not staying on. This issue is a life safety issue for a driver if the cannot fepend on their car to accelerate or brake properly.

So my ETC light flashed on but quickly went off before that happened I was Accelerating to get on the freeway in my car jerked really bad twice then everything went back to normal what does this mean
I have a 2011 Dodge Avenger that did the same things as you all. It was intermittent until I was left stranded on the side of the road. I have replaced cps, cam shaft sensor and new ECU and the car idles with a misfire at 1800 rpm. I have no clue where to go was hoping the ecu was going to be the fix. Although it was purchased from flagship one remanufactured for only $150 verses $400 for a new one. Anybody have any advice
I have the exact same issue with my. 2011 avenger. Have you found the fix?
I was about to replace the CPS... I guess I shouldn't bother. I had the misfire steady before the top-end was done under warranty. Finally got rid of the misfire. 2 months later this started happening. uggghhh
Phillip I have replaced ecu, crank sensor both cam sensors and the car still does the same thing. Granted I got the ecu from flagship1 remanufactured it could jus be faulty as well. Until I determine the new/refurbished ecu is working correctly I don’t know where to go from here.
Wow. I've replaced Cam Sensors, was about to do the crank sensor. On the highway, I'll sometimes lose all power. Both lights come on. Seems like sometimes it gets triggered if I'm jerky on the gas pedal. Won't happen if i'm in cruise control. Maybe something to do with the transmission? If I find anything else out, I'll post it here. Good luck!

I have had the same problem on my 08' Avenger. A lightning symbol comes on flashing and my car goes into limp mode. When I looked up the symbol, it was a throttle issue. I immediately thought of the throttle body, i got it reprogrammed but didnt fix the issue, then i bought a new one which i also had to do the relearn but also did not solve the problem. I also replaced the pedal sensor but did nothing to solve the issue. My friend told me to run a smoke test and look for any vacuum leaks, after running that smoke test, i found no leaks. I replaced all sensors and still no fix. I finally took it to a shop and they told me it might be a ecm problem. They ordered and reprogrammed a new one and installed it but still had that flashing lightning bolt. Im out of ideas, the only thing left is the entire harness that connects to the throttle body or the fuse box that might have an internal problem inside. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
