Car not starting and ETC light came on

Asked by AZ_guy Sep 29, 2018 at 10:10 AM about the 2014 Dodge Avenger SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has been parked outside in the heat (between 90 to 115 degrees daily) and
has not been driven around for 4-5 weeks (maybe longer). Car does not start
and ETC light came on. What is the problem and solution?

Thank you! Your answer was very helpful. Since the car cannot start, will a battery jump be helpful or harmful? -- I would like to take it to the dealership shop (unfortunately)
