Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the
metal pipe that is pulled out of the hole in the picture is.
There was a rubber grommet/gasket on it that was leaking
and I'm trying to change out but no one knows what the
part is. Thanks!

I think (not 100% sure) that this is the EGR tube.

I just went to the auto parts store and the gasket they brought out for egr tube was just an o ring and was too small. The hose goes under the intake and connects into what is shown in the picture. I had to loosen the bolt on this to get the tube to come out

I just found this so I guess you were right!! I dont know if they brought me the wrong gasket out or what but i will go back and see if they can find the correct one! I think they may have brought me the gasket directly the bottom into the egr itself rather than the top gasket. Thanks for all the help!
