Sometimes you have to get an OBDII scanner to erase the code. Go to a local repair shop, they may do it for free.

Turn on the key without starting, pump the gas to floor and off 10 times, then turn off key, when you turn it back on, it should be gone, and no it won't flood it

I just reset my change oil Light on my 2014 dodge avenger it's easy breezy!! Turn key to where it turns in all the electronics but don't start it. Quickly within 10 seconds press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times move key to lock position! You should be good to go! Took me 2 tries lol
