search mileage opens at 44,000 to 45,000 and will not let me adjust

It opens at 44,000 because the search criteria you put in the lowest mileage listing they have for that car, with everything you plugged in, is 44000. Widen your search to a bigger radius might work, or add a year or two to your search Drag the box from both ends .....close together, even overlap them.
