Is it better to get a new transmission for a 2007
Chevy Cobalt 2.2 liter ecotech engine or have it
rebuilt?

209,270 miles are on it. We'll keep it until she has had her last run. Mint condition and a little bit of spending due too we hit a deer 2 almost 3yrs ago..bad luck since.

Find a used transmission. There are millions of these cars around. Try to get one out of a wrecked car. Remember the car was probably running fine when it got wrecked so chances are good the transmission is fine. Way cheaper than a rebuild.
