Can I put a 2009 chevy cobalt ss turbo on my 2007 chevy cobalt ss

I believe both use the same 2.0 LSJ engine so that part will work. It is however ALOT of work to make the conversion. You will also need all the electronics from the turbo car, possibly the fuel pump, and I'm not sure how or if the intake air cooling system fits into the whole scheme of things. If all you want is more horsepower do what I did with mine. Add a stage II upgrade to your existing car along with a better air intake. You'll be up to about 255 horsepower which is not a turbo car but its getting close. Consider upgrading your intake air intercooler at the same time. That whole conversion is a relatively easy weekend project and complete upgrade kits are available from people like ZZ Performance. If its a turbo car you want, sell your SS/SC and buy one. To me these sorts of conversions just aren't worth the time and effort when you can just go out and buy one already done. But maybe I'm just getting lazy. Stand by for dandyoun's bleating about your ignition.:) Good luck with your project. Cobalts are such fun cars.
