2007 Chevy Equinox Passlock Light

Asked by Crystal Oct 14, 2017 at 02:43 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter just bought an '07 Equinox 2 weeks
ago. She went to get in it this morning and before
unlocking it, she noticed a light flashing on the
dash. It went off after she unlocked the door.  Is
this normal?  It seems weird that a dash light
would blink constantly when it is off and locked,
but since it is an anti-theft thing, I am hoping it is
supposed to do that!  Thank you!

Crystal, I would call the dealer and ask about the passlock light. That is if you don't have an owners manual. also, it wouldn't hurt to have the computer scanned for codes. it is free at many auto parts stores. The light may be normal, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Btw, if you want an owners manual for your car try books4cars.com.
