Resetting oil life guage in 2004 vette

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Over the winter i purchased a 2004 vette and i read one of the options it has is displaying the life left in your oil before it should be changed. I have no problem with changing the oil/filter but is it easy to reset the oil life indicator back to zero? I recall reading how i would go about resetting the oil life tracking option. thanks

I believe it's one of the fuses in the inside fuse box, there should be a small red button there that you press and hold for 10 seconds and it will reset it.
Try pushing your gas peddle to the floor 4 times.
If it is like my SC,where the indactator is may be a small hole you push in with a paper clip to reset.
key on, engine off. pump gas pedal 3 times with 5 seconds. you can also go through the DIC under "gauges", when oil life is displayed, press and hold the reset button. it should reset on the next cycle of the key.
heres what you do, Turn the ignition on, but make sure the engine is off. Press the "Trip" button on the DIC so that it displays "OIL LIFE" percentage. Press and hold the "Reset" button for two seconds. "OIL LIFE REMAIN 100%" should appear on the display. are you a member of any forums? check my vette out on my profile, gl
