I have a 2007 chevy impale code is reading injector circuit open cylinder 5 whatvcould this be I've replaced injector and wires

Ohm the injector. should be low ohms maybe 10+ ohms.put the key on and take a voltage measurement on each injector 5 wire and you should get 12 volts. If you get 12 and 0 then its most likely an open injector or short to geound on the control wire. Does it run rich? White smoke any,

If the injector is causing the open corcuit bc of hogh resistance ull just have to replace the injector. think of it like when a heater element goes out in your dryer. Same kinda concept. If the injector isnt accessible u can always get a pcm pinout and go to the pcm and do a voltage measurement for that control wire.. 12 volts wld be a pcm problem
