2007 SS Impala

Asked by Bredding215 Jan 10, 2017 at 09:10 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Impala SS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car recieved 3 jumps last night and it
cut of all three times, aaa guy said it was
crank sensor. The car hasn't done this
before. The battery wasn't holding a
charge and it's making this ticking sound.
If it's not the battery and I put a new
alternator on what else could it be?

It could be the battery, and probably is. If it has a short internally it would do this. Battery should be checked out along with the charging system to see if it is working properly.

Crank sensor should throw a code, so if you take it in to have the charging system tested get the codes read too.
