My car won’t move forward or backwards

When I’m in reverse my car is trying to go
forward when I’m in drive it’s barley moving

Have you checked the transmission fluid level? Sounds like it may be very low. Did it act strange (trouble shifting, etc.) last time it was working properly?

2007 monte Carlo as 5.3 liter v8 it will shaft but don't move but if I cut it off and start it back up it will move and then it want move
