2007 Chrysler Aspen Won't Start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine malfunction light came on about 3 days
ago.  Like a dummy I didn't go get the code
checked.  Figured it was a loose gas cap.  Because
my Aspen ran fine.  I drove to the post office today
and when I came back out my Aspen Won't start.  I
turn the key and it doesn't crank.  No sound at all.
The instrument panel lights come on when I turn
the key but no crank... not even any clicking.  I take
the starter off and have it checked and it's fine.  I
check the fuses and they are fine.  My battery is
new only about a month or two old.  HELP!!!

Well.... after checking the fuses again it ended up being a blown fuse. Yeah I know.... we feel silly now. After going through the trouble of taking the starter off and having it checked... then bypassing it with an extension cord wire that did get it started and got me home.... but yeah.... took that back off and the only thing that was wrong was a little fuse... lol... imagine that. Oh well... it's fixed and I can laugh at the three stooges who fixed it.... through the laughter though I am extremely grateful.
