2007 ford escape 2WdD 2.3L MFI DOHC front end noises
Elimination of possible problems first: New parts installed both sides front of
vehicle; Power Train; DURALAST, CV Axles, MOOG Wheel Bearing & Hub
Assembly half shaft nut torque 221 ft.lbs. (Recommended FORD Dealership), .
Suspension; Lower Control Arms (sub-frame bolt 150 Ft. Lbs, Front Frame Bolt 74
Ft. Lbs.), Loaded Shock Struts (Top Bolts 35 Ft. Lbs. to Steering Knuckle 74 Ft.
Lbs). , Tie Rod End Outer (s), Wheel Alignment (O'Reilly Auto Service) , Tires in
Original Position. Brakes; Front Disc Type Re-manned Calipers, Disc Pads, High
Carbon Rotors. I can't see any debris or obstruction in the wheels. Yet the noise
only happens when I'm driving so it is not engine related. No noise at idle. And
sounds emanating from left front, and drivers side very, very, slight bit of vibration
in steering wheel when driving. No performance issues of any kind with
transmission or engine both running smoothly. Just noise like a baseball card in a
bicycle wheel spoke.?
If anyone has a clue what is going on please tell me what to repair. Keep in mind
all the new parts are installed to dealer specs., and both front sides of the car have
all new parts. Thank you.
