When I'm driving down the road, my automatic seat will go backwards? What's going on and how do I stop it?

If the motor for the seat engages suspect the switch. Disconnect the power from it and test it with a multimeter. It should respond like any other switch. The spring inside the switch is probably/maybe weak and from vibration will engage.

Like most, you are probably the primary driver of the vehicle, seldom used by others. As a quick fix to stop the aggravation, position the seat where you unlock it. Then unplug the switch.
