carland is not to far off on that quote. The ticking however is most likely the valves sticking. It happens in all these cars and can happen sooner if you don't do regular oil changes at 8000km with 5w40 full synthetic. Check the drivers side rear wheel well. Audi likes to hide an emissions box behind the inner plastic well which has a evap line that rots off at the bottom on its way to the front of the car. i once found a mouse nest up in there on top of my evap filter. this is the likely place it could be leaking you would hear a hissing noise near that wheel while the car is running. and the smell of gas vapours.
Thanks Man we did opened the top on Saturday it was indeed the valve it broke the piston dam now i have to get new Top and one piston.my car is down thanks a lot
