2007 Honda Civic Si won't start (won't turn over) after getting gas-tripping anti-theft??

My husband and I bought a 2007 Honda Civic Si 3 weeks ago and both times we had to put gas in it, it wouldn't start afterwards.  Has battery, anti-theft light on dash is blinking.  Both times we just kept trying to get it started until it finally did-opening and closing the gas cap, etc.

first thing to do - check the battery connection and battery itself. if all good then can you contact the seller? maybe they had some kind of contact switch connected up to the gas door ... if no luck check for obd codes

1 Take Key out of ignition 2 make sure Negative cable is connected with good contact.3 Disconnect positive battery cable only. 4 place key in ignition and turn to the on position 5 Leave key on and replace the postive battery cable 6 Turn ignition to off position then turn to on. 7 Try to start ... this is what prvious poster used to reset antitheft - if that does not work could also be a problem with the key.
