Maybe is full and you can't fill the tank because you have a problem with the EVAP system and when you try to fill the car the gas spray out. Or you have a problem with the fuel sending unit, this unit is inside the fuel tank and have the fuel pump and the fuel level sensor, if this sensor is bad you have a bad reading of fuel level in the instrumental chluster.
the tank must have a breather, check if it is not blocked, the gauge in the tank is faulty just like #jerryautospec said, did how ever had a few that the gauge on the dash were faulty.
The car runs fine the only thing it wont take gas. This happened after I put gas in it and drove about 130 miles with the tank still reading full. Can the charcoal filter be compromised and not venting?
Would a blocked breather stop gas from being put in?
svhalk , with a blocked breather stopping gas from entering the tank would the gas gauge read full? This happened when I filled the tank.
yes it could stop you from filling up, didnt say that its the problem with the gauge
it reads full. I mentioned that in my opening question. I really appreciate the help.
