1968 -0-2889-V8--Mustang that is hard to start. Prof rebuilt carb--drained gas/put in fresh---plugs/points etc--less than 200 miles

Do you have a cable operated choke and are you using it when trying to start? With my old '66 Mustang 289, I had to pump the gas 3 times then hold it to the floor to get it to start. But my engine wasn't a new rebuild either. Did you do the rebuild yourself or can you bring it back to the shop that did the rebuild?

Make sure the engine timing is set correctly. Just because a pro rebuilt the carb does not mean is has been adjusted properly.
