It needs to have a proportioning valve(adjusts hydraulic pressue bias to wheels) and or the correct disk brake master cylinder installed if it was not changed during these modifications.

A bad brake hose will cause your problem also. Do this test with caliper locked up remove wheel and loosen bleeder screw until brake fluid comes out of hole in bleeder screw then try turning rotor if it spins freely bad brake hose if it stays tight piston in caliper has seized up but we know it is not that since you replaced with new caliper. Question how long have you had the vehicle before this has start happening ?

Brake Hoses and hardware should be replaced. Should replace the fluid maybe every year. I'm doing a 68 GT350 brakes right now and decided to replace ALL the parts. They don't work like they did when new just from time on the car. The car needs to stop more than it needs to go. I am taking my car to a Brake shop to do the replacement just because. I am getting the parts, they are doing the work and setup. Yes, I could do the work but that is not my expertise. I want an expert to set it up for me.
