Why won't my 2005 Mustang won't start on hot days?

Asked by S Aug 14, 2021 at 08:02 AM about the 2005 Ford Mustang V6 Premium Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my 2005 Mustang v6 won't start when the weather is hot until after opening the doors and cooling off the interior.  The engine is not hot from running, but the car is hot from sitting in the sun.  Why could this be?

Any CEL lights? Sensors can be sensitive to temperature and cause an issue. I would check fuel pressure, spark, and any fault codes that could cause it. Check for temperature readings on sensors as well to make sure they are functioning properly.
