Please help me my only car!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok, I'll try to make this short. I was having
issues with my car not starting and my
GPA cleaned the battery cables off,
worked fine for about a week and a half
and now yesterday my husband was
driving home and the lights went really
dim and all the lights on my dash came
on. This morning it did the same thing
except the window didn't really want to go
down. This evening on the way home the
lights at dim, all lights on dash are on and
now the speedometer won't work or the
rpm. Can anybody please help as this is
our only car and only way to work and he
works an hour away so its not like he can
take the bus or walk. Thanks in advance!

You should take your car to an Autozone or auto parts store and see if your battery is holding a charge.

UPDATE: Just spoke with my husband and he said that he turned the car off and started it back up and now is running fine! This is so strange! Anybody know what it could be now??

Have the battery and charging system checked. Check and clean all the connections at the battery and the starter. These connections need to be absolutely clean, free from corrosion and tight. Also check the condition of the serpentine belt.

Belt is bad and the connections were dirty! He cleaned them and it worked. Thank you!

Dirty corroded battery terminals cause lots of issues due to them being neglected. Glad you got it going.
