Housing plastic that holds heat sending sensor on 4.0 liter motor

It has a hole in it, wondering where to find one with out going to FORD.Auto store can't get it. Still going to get new sensor. Car hasn't been shifting right for 2 years. Bought from 1 owner 40,000 miles, can that be my problem also

Does your also hold the thermostat also? If so the cost is about 90 bucks at most autoparts stores. Also check the net. Someone makes them out of case aluminum now for just a little more. May be worth a try.
