Ford explorer if there both 4.0 L Cologne V-6

Doubt it. the 04 tranny is a sealed unit, no dip stick, and is electronically controlled. Suggest you visit a tranny retail web site. You can usually plug in your make and model and a part will come back. Compare the two part numbers you get for compatibility.
