Engine kicks slow

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my car then one day I hit the brakes
to come to a stop. Nothing else went wrong I didn't
feel anything wrong with the truck. As soon as I
looked and was cleared to drive again ISTEP on
the gas and noticed that it wasn't moving too far
then it kicked. It only happens when I hit the
brakes hard. No check engine light comes on can
anyone help me with Diagnostics?
