Could be engine modifications made by the manufacturer during mid model year, or inclusions of accessories from model to model requiring a re-positioning. First check your individual state regulations concerning EPA restrictions and see if there are any. Also, you may have to take along an entire host of additional sensors and EVAP components not included on the older engine. A PCM update will also be necessary. When repairs down the road are required by a professional, you'll have to inform him/her of the modifications made. Diagnostic electronic parameters could change.
